TEXEPHYR 2016 Continuing the legacy of 2015, the year 2016 witnessed digital evolution in many ways wherein the departments of Computer, E&TC, Mechanical and IT Engineering of MAEER’s Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune co-organize a National Level event “TEXEPHYR’16” on the 10th, 11th& 12th of March 2016. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from engineering students in various technical and non-technical events across all branches and the invaluable support shown by our title sponsors Accenture and together has ensured that the event was a great success. As a part of Texephyr’16 the Computer Department conducted various events in the span of 3 days viz. were: 1. Algoholics (No. of Participants – 56 Groups) 2. B.E. Tech Quizzards (No. of Participants – 40 Groups)

Computer Engineering Department Alumni Meet 2016

For the Alumni meet ,alumni of all batches were invited and total 53 Alumni were present for the event. This meet brought together different generations of alumni right from 1988-89 batch till 2014-15 batch. Prof. Dr. Vrushali Kulkarni, on behalf of the College, extended a warm welcome to the alumni for coming down to join the Meet. She then informed them about the recent activities that are taking place in the department and the efforts that department is persevering in order to fulfill industry requirements. Alumni and Staff engaged in an informative discussion about the academia and placements & industry expectations. Another topic that was put up for discussion was “Entrepreneurship”. Amongst who were present here that day; about 7-8 alumni have started their own company. They shared their experiences and gave brief about their company. Prof. Sheetal Vij presented vote of thanks.Alumni were given a token of appreciation, a book called “ The Last Lecture “, by Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch. After the program alumni had their lunch at chadralok and took a tour of the college. This event enhanced the relationship among the alumni and enabled them to discuss on various issues. The alumni and the organizer reaffirmed to strengthen the bond between the alumni and their alma-mater.
